The Goal
In keeping focused on the school’s vision of being a vibrant and innovative centre of learning, this programme aims to enrich and transform the learning environment of our pupils and equip them with the critical competencies and dispositions to succeed in a knowledge economy. (MOE-ICT MP3). Aligned to the school’s Strategic Thrust 4 (To enhance teaching and learning outcomes through the use of ICT), the programme creates a unique learning process for the learners by taking advantage of the learning opportunities beyond the classroom offered by technology. In order to achieve this, staff capacity and professionalism (Strategic Thrust 3) will also be further enhanced with relevant training.
The objective
The objective is to foster new innovative practices in teaching and learning by enabling pupils to access, analyze and apply information learnt. Teachers will be using applications (with Macbooks) to create innovative digital resources. Pupils will be engaged in active and collaborative learning instead digital learning devices. Information can be accessed in the palm of their hands (e.g. iPod Touch).
Tasks
As this is a prototype, different authentic tasks will be assigned to selected classes at P3, P4 and P5 levels on four IP subjects on a modular scheme, with each module covering a period of 2 to 3 weeks.
P3 - MathematicsP4 - English & Chinese

Equipment:
Pupils from selected classes will be equipped with mobile learning devices. The ratio of equipment to pupil is 2:1. In this prototype, the choice of devices will be Apple’s iPod Touch and mobile Dataloggers.
